The Brief
Elements for Life has built a loyal community around its ceremonial cacao and vegan chocolate. With the brand ready to reach new stockists, they needed a packaging range with real shelf presence – without losing the soul that their community loves.
The Work
Cacao packaging rooted in the tree of life
We chose to honour the nature of ceremonial cacao by illustrating each product with its own tree of life illustration, reflecting the way ceremonial cacao is shared and enjoyed. Virgin Ceremonial Cacao, Serendipity and Ceremonial Cacao Buttons each have a distinct colour and pattern, while sitting together as one family.
Packaging built for brand blocking
Scaled up across the full pouch, the illustrations were supersized to create bold brand blocking in independent stores, giving the range impact far beyond their size.
Compostable cacao packaging with a story to tell
Finished in compostable pouches and clearly marked vegan, gluten free and GMO free, the packaging reflects the brand’s values as well as its looks. As a finishing touch, we added quotes on human growth at the base of every pack – “I took a walk in the woods & came out taller than the trees” – connecting the tree of life iconography to the brand’s purpose.
The Outcome
A cacao packaging range built to open doors to larger accounts and wider distribution, while staying true to the community that made the brand.
