The baby care category is one of the most emotionally driven purchase decisions in any retailer – and one of the most visually saturated. Walk the baby aisle and you will find the same soft colours, the same reassuring imagery, and the same gentle messaging repeated across brand after brand. It is a category where everyone looks trustworthy and almost nobody looks distinctive.
Mo & Marine came to us as a baby product packaging design agency with a clear vision in their mind. Build a sustainable baby wipe brand that parents actively want to use — not just one they feel vaguely obligated to choose.
Our early research showed us what we all collectively felt across categories – sustainable products often felt like compromise. They cost more, weren’t as brand-led and aesthetically pleasing, and often didn’t perform as well – this was especially true for the baby wipe category.
The design brief was clear. Build a baby brand and packaging design with enough personality, enough distinctiveness, and enough visual confidence to make the sustainable choice feel like the most exciting choice on the shelf.

The Brief
Parents of newborns go through up to ten packs of baby wipes a month. Most of those wipes end up somewhere they should never be — landfill, drainage systems, rivers, or released as airborne pollutants through incineration and degradation.
Mo & Marine was built to change that. A genuinely sustainable baby wipe, formulated to perform better than a standard wipe – and priced to make switching feel like a decision, not a sacrifice.
The challenge for us as a baby product packaging design agency was to build a brand that earned immediate trust without leaning on the tired visual codes of the sustainable baby category. No kraft paper, no earth tones, no quiet apologetic messaging dressed up as ethical positioning. Mo & Marine needed to walk into a competitive fixture and immediately feel like the most considered, most joyful, most worth-it product in it.
What Did We Do?
Mo & Marine engaged us as a baby product packaging design agency for brand strategy, brand design, packaging design, retail strategy and DTC website. The entire brand was built from scratch, with every creative decision rooted in the story why the brand existed to tell.
We started by asking where most baby wipes actually go. Three answers – land, seas and oceans, and air – became the creative foundation for everything that followed.
Brand Strategy: Defined Mo & Marine’s position as the baby wipe brand that proves sustainability doesn’t have to equal sacrifice.
Brand Design: We created a tumbling and playful wordmark and brand design – falling onto the page and contrasting with the floral inspired ampersand, a universally recognised silhouette of motherhood, resembling the pregnant mother and child. A mid-shade blue chosen for its shelf presence, its marine resonance, and its complete distinctiveness in a category of pastels and earth tones.
Verbal Branding: ‘Little Bums Big Ambitions’ – became our rallying cry, written for the parent who is doing their best with the time they have, and wants the brands in their home to reflect that.
Illustration System: A rich, nature-led world built from the three environments most affected by baby wipe disposal. Coral reefs and seaweed for the ocean. Botanicals and stacked stones for the land. A clean white bird for the air. Warm, distinctive, and built to grow across an evolving product range.
Baby Wipe Packaging Design: A system that works at shelf, at thumbnail size online, and as an object of beauty left on a bathroom counter – because the best baby product packaging is worth displaying, not hiding.
Website: A DTC environment that translates the brand world into a conversion-led experience, communicating the sustainability story without sacrificing warmth or wit.

Parents are some of the most considered consumers in any category. They research, they read ingredients, they check reviews – they come back to brands that earned their trust the first time. Mo & Marine's packaging design system earns that trust through a visual identity rooted in a genuine story – not a borrowed aesthetic or a trend that will date in two years.
